Pitfalls of anachronistic analysis: the book of Ecclesiastes, meaning of life and meaning in life

The article carries out a critical analysis of Arthur Kiefer's methodology (described in the “Ecclesiastes and meaning life ancient world”, Cambridge University Press, 2022), namely his concept “meaning life” applied to book Ecclesiastes. core argument made here is that “threefold conceptual scheme” life, borrowed from field empirical psychological research (coherence – purpose significance), cannot be effective theological or philosophical texts, which involve high level generalization. On other hand, since absent language Ecclesiastes its own extremely vague, it unable play role useful analytical tool.
